About
Built by brokers,
for brokers.
Mortgage software has earned its bad reputation. The incumbents bill per-seat, charge for support tickets, and treat document collection like a 2014 SaaS form. We're building the opposite.
The premise
Borrowers hand brokers their financial life — pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements, IDs, sometimes Social Security numbers. The current tools treat that data like any other SaaS payload: stored in plaintext-ish, gated by password-only login, audited only when something explodes.
We think that's wrong. The borrower trusted you with something precious; the platform should match that trust. That's the design constraint.
What we believe
- Per-loan-closed pricing, not per-seat. Cost should track value.
- AI catches missing pages on upload, not on submit. The borrower fixes it before it becomes your problem.
- No login wall for borrowers. Per-item SMS deep links land them on the exact missing item.
- Encryption isn't a feature; it's the floor. SSNs encrypted at rest, KMS-managed, audited every read.
- Compliance evidence by default. WISP, audit log, retention policy, runbooks — all live in the product, not in a separate doc nobody reads.
- Brokers shape the roadmap. Email product@cinch.app and we read every word.
What's under the hood
Cinch is a TypeScript application built on established US cloud providers, each listed in our privacy policy. The full architecture story — tenant isolation, encryption, GLBA Safeguards alignment row-by-row, runbooks — lives on the security page.
Every code claim there is verifiable in the codebase. We've found that openness about how things actually work is the most credible signal we can send.
